Editing tables
There are several ways to edit data:
- Using the tabular view, click a table cell that is marked as editable. Depending on your settings, clicking a table cell will either edit the datum displayed therein or the contents of the entire row.
- Using the tabular view, you can open the drop-down menu of the row and click Edit, which provides editing access to all contents of a row.
- If you are in the list view to display the columns of a row, click the Edit button.
If you edit the datum of a single table cell, the editing process takes place in a pop-up panel. If you edit all data of a row, you see a list of all columns and their respective values, each of which can be modified independently.
Updating any value of a row also updates the modification date of the underlying data record.
You can write an editing message that will be saved as part of your change or deletion of a row. Editing messages are displayed as part of the audit log.
Notice that to be able to change the datum of a column, the column in question must be marked as editable
